The banks of the Yarra River, which winds its way around Green Acres, provides a picturesque backdrop to this challenging members layout.

The tall stands of native trees, the natural billabongs and abundant birdlife make it a little difficult to believe it is only 15 minutes from the CBD.

Green Acres Golf Club was formed in July 1948 on 44 hectares of the former Willsmere Dairy Farm land on the banks of the Yarra at East Kew. Purchased from the Brooksby Family for $34,158.

The men's course has changed little from the original layout. The 5848 metres par 71 course of 1955 is now 143 metres longer but the tightness of the course, more than compensates for the relatively short length.
